Botanical Gardens

I just wanted to share a few more of the pics I took at the Botanical
Gardens (with my better camera). And here's Jackie & Joe looking at some
daffodils.

A Day Out

We wanted to go to the Bronx Zoo, but it was full! So we went to the Botanical Garden instead.

Crispy's Sunday School class made bread dough today. Here he is enjoying the first slice after Jackie baked it.

Cub Scout Pack Night

Then it was on to the "Mad Science" part of the evening. Crispy helped
out with some of the dry ice demonstrations!

Cub Scout Pack Night

Crispy and the rest of his den get their "Citizenship" and
"Communications" belt-loops for their flag ceremony at the City Council
meeting last month.

This Citizenship part is obvious- the Communications is a bit of a
stretch but it's 'cos the event was televised on the local community TV
channel.

Meat!

And of course once we'd unpacked the cooler I had to show Crispy what
happens when you put some of the dry ice it was packed in in a glass of
water (note the excellent mad scientist face!)

Meat!

It's a variety of steaks, burgers, gourmet hot dogs etc. and they pretty
much refill the freezer nicely. The problem is going to be whether we
can stop ourselves eating them all before Grandma & Grandpa get here!

Meat!

We got a very nice offer in the mail the other day for Omaha Steaks for
really cheap- so we figured as we'd just cleared out and defrosted the
freezer we'd stock it up ready for when Grandma & Grandpa come in the
summer. So we ordered 2 of the deals they were offering, and today a
large cooler was delivered.
