Mystic Aquarium

Crispy took this awesome picture of the Beluga Whale

Mystic Aquarium

Crispy and Jackie both had an extra day off today, so they went up to
Mystic Aquarium (to fulfill our promise to Crispy when we had to leave
before it opened 'cos of the snow back in February) with Jodi & Trey
(I had to stay in Rye and work).

Geocaching

Small boy at a beach.

Geocaching

Photographing the canopy.

Geocaching

A deer we ran into.

Geocaching

Finding our first cache!

Geocaching

Crispy and I decided to dip our toes into the interesting world of
Geocaching- Basically someone hides a "cache" (a tin or plastic bag
with a log book and some little chotchkies) somewhere, records the
co-ordinates and puts them on the Geocaching website. You then put the
co-ordinates into your GPS and try to find it, and if you do you add
your name to the log and take a little something and leave a little
something. We picked 4 fairly close together in the Marshlands
Conservancy and found 2 of them (batting .500, not bad for our first
day out!), and had a blast- lots of wildlife and a very pleasant 2
mile hike through the woods :)

Crispy brought his camera to photograph the flora (he's seriously into
plants this week).

Home from the campout

And finally, Crispy reading to his friends in the tent while they
digested their s'mores before bed.

Home from the campout

At the campfire ceremonies as they retired (burned) a flag.

Home from the campout

Crispy and Charlie (the two "English Boys"- although Charlie is the only
one with the accent) and their matching tattoos.

Home from the campout

Crispy in climbing gear.

Home from the campout

The Turquoise Team!

Crispy and Den 8 were joined by Den 1 for the day.

Home from the campout

Crispy Hood of Sherwood Forest!

Home from the campout

Our campsite- I have to say that I'm very impressed with out little red
Coleman tent from Costco! It started raining about 9:30 on Saturday
night and carried on until just before we packed up to leave, but we
stayed snug and dry!

Home from the campout

Crispy trying out his sleeping bag.

Home from the campout

Our fabulous LLBean remote-control lantern.

Home from the campout

Now we are back (after getting up at 5:30 so I could be back to open up
the church on time), here are a few pictures a little above cell-phone
camera quality.

Starting with setting up the tent yesterday morning.
