Choir Rehearsal

And here are the choir singing from the back.

Choir Rehearsal

The service on Sunday evening will have the choir singing from the back of the church- here's Andrew playing while watching the conductor on a video feed I rigged up for him.

At home after our walk.

Jackie has her feet up, but anyone who knows about her plantar fasciitis (sp?) Should be very impressed with her 2 miles through the woods! You go baby!

Gorgeous weather

A lovely afternoon to be out with Holly- 70 degrees and sunny with a gentle breeze. There won't be many more like this before winter rears it's head!

Broken toe

Apologies to those who may be offended by my naked foot, but I thought I would share my broken toe with the world. I stubbed it on a chair in the kitchen early this morning getting up to let the dog out while I was half asleep, but I didn't notice the lovely color it had gone 'til I just took my socks off. There's not much you can do with broken toes, so I guess I'll just tape it to it's neighbor tomorrow and wear loose-toed shoes.

Fall Cleaning?

As we have a rare day off together Jackie and I spent the morning sorting old mail and rediscovering our kitchen counters- now to see if I can prise the boy away from his computer and get him to come with me to walk the dog this afternoon.

And people wonder why we call her Mrs. Doofenshmirtz?

A lovely early evening walk

Through Autumn's finery, as the squirrels gently throw nuts at us from the branches above :)

And here's a picture Dorothee sent me of Matthew blessing Sasha last
Sunday afternoon.

Here are a last few from today's trip to Philly-

Crispy with his friends Charlie (the blond) and Brandon with the Liberty
Bell and with a statue called "The Signer", and Crispy in front of the
Second Bank of the US.

Blessing of the Animals

We had our annual St. Francis Day Blessing of the Animals this afternoon
in the columbarium garden outside the church.

We had a great turn out, and not only did Holly get blessed, but Sasha
turned up at the end for her blessing of her own accord. But even more
amazing was the fact that Dorothee brought her snake Monty (Python) and
Crispy got to hold him- and so did Jackie! (those who know her will
understand how incredible that is- Jackie doesn't do snakes!)

Rockefeller Estate

Here are a few more from our walk on the Rockefeller Estate this morning.

Friday morning walk

By way of a bit of a change Holly & I decided (well, I decided- she just does as she's told) to come up for a walk arond the Rockefeller Preserve. This is the "13 Bridges Loop".
